BG Podcast #1 – The most valuable asset that a startup founder possesses and often forget is ???

Welcome to BG Podcast Episoder 1, I’m Hai, the host of the Podcast

The podcast will share about my real experience in building and fundraising for startup founders

Yesterday, a startup founder I work with called me. He informed me:

Before working with me, he had health issues like Gout, high cholesterol, etc.

Currently, his Gout symptoms have almost disappeared, his cholesterol levels are close to normal, and other health indicators are gradually improving.

The most valuable asset that a startup founder possesses and often forgets is their HEALTH.

The current entrepreneurial lifestyle for these founders is:

Working for more than ten hours a day, no time for physical exercise, not eating healthy foods, overeating when stressed.

This leads to predictable result, whether the startup is a success or a failure, the founder is likely to become a familiar face at hospitals.

There’s a saying: “A sharp mind only resides in a strong body.”

I believe this is true.

For example,

In my first startup, I worked with a startup founder who had many health issues and was physically weak, and it’s true that his mental and emotional fluctuated.

Once time he told me: “When he is stressful and thinking about the work, his stomach will start hurting again.

I said, “If you’re that weak, there’s no point in continuing. You should stop.”

He stopped, and we continued the startup without him.

Afterward, the company continued to run smoothly, and it reduced our workload of taking care that weak co-founder.

Usually, startup founders who work with me and adopt my lifestyle habits see significant improvements in their health.

The startup founder at the beginning of this story is an example.

If they can’t adapt and their physical and mental strength remain weak, I will part ways with them sooner or later.

Starting a startup is already an incredibly challenging and lonely journey.

They enjoy the pleasure that comes from the journey full of experiences.

Of course, you will gain enough experience and persistence to reach the end of the road.

It will sometimes require physical and mental strength (both of which can be achieved through training).

If you want to be a startup founder that many investors, customers, and collaborators want to work with, always cherish and take care of your most valuable asset

“YOUR HEALTH.”
